In September, the harvest peak of Almonds wood in Shache County, Xinjiang province was about 3,100 tons per day. At present, Shache county planting almonds trees 930,000 mu, fruit hanging area of 850,000 mu, accounting for more than 95% of the national planting area, become China's largest almonds wood production base. In 2020, the output of almonds wood in Shache County increased to 86,000 tons.

Because the tree is relatively tall, many fruits are hung on the top of the tree, people will beat the branches with wooden poles, so that the mature trees fall off naturally, the tree with plastic bags to collect the fallen fruits. Because the local planting area is large but the per capita area is relatively small, it is not suitable for mechanized overall picking, so the local farmers still retain the traditional picking methods. Now Shache county is building the almonds wood industrial park, and gradually improve the integration mode from acquisition, drying, processing, sales and so on. At present, the price of the dried fruit of sinian wood is about 20 yuan/500g, which is not expensive compared with other nuts. It's just that once it's shipped to the market, it's a lot more expensive.

It is understood that the planting density of almonds wood in Shache production area is relatively low, and the yield per mu is only 4 to 5 hundred 500g of dried fruit. And the trees are picked after the fruit has naturally split on the tree and is fully ripe. If the plant is simple, planting income is not ideal. It is understood that the global output of almonds wood in 2016 was 320 tons, and the US production accounted for 63%. Most of the domestic planting is concentrated in southern Xinjiang, and the yield is only 0.63% of the global total. Domestic almonds wood market demand, 95% of them rely on imports. In China's food and beverage market, the use of almonds wood raw materials is developing rapidly, and the snack, baking and dairy industries have become a powerful engine to further promote the growth of its application. In the past few years, the number of new almonds wood products launched in the Chinese market has increased significantly, with a cagR of 8.3%, much higher than the global growth rate of 6.4%.

To Chinese market, almonds wood industry is extremely scarce sunrise industry. At the same time, the almonds plantation industry is still in its infancy due to low domestic production. It is understood that Henan province has begun planting almonds wood, breaking the history of almonds wood is not suitable for planting in the interior. The sampling survey of 700 mu finished forest in "Fugang Almond planting base" in Sanmenxia, Henan province shows that 50 plants of Sinian can be planted in one mu. In the actual hanging fruit of 100 4-5 year old almonds trees, the output of 20 almonds trees per plant is 80 kg fresh fruit, equivalent to 16 kg dry fruit; 70 almonds trees can yield 100 kg of fresh fruit, equivalent to 20 kg of dried fruit. The yield of 10 fresh almonds fruits per plant is 120-140 500g, equivalent to 24-28 500g of dried fruit. In 4-5 years, the average yield of almonds mu fruit trees per mu is 900 500g, and in 10 years, the yield of almonds mu fruit trees per mu can be 1700 500g.

almonds wood has a history of more than 1,300 years of domestic planting, but when the domestic began to popularize almonds wood products, did not use this name. In 1990, American almonds wood was imported to the Chinese market. It was called "American big almond" by some fruit merchants and consumers because it looks very like a large almond. At that time, many businesses used almonds as almonds, causing a lot of consumer disputes. On 23 March 2012, the Ministry of Commerce issued the Domestic Trade Industry Standard (SB/T10673-2012), which came into effect on 1 April 2013. The standard stipulates the terms, definitions, classification and other requirements for the kernel and kernel of cooked almond (sinian), so the food related to sinian in various products has been renamed and changed packaging. Data show that in 2015, more than 90% of the "American big almond" has been renamed as "Almonds". Supermarkets, e-commerce platforms and media publicity have also taken Almonds as a unified name.
